EPAL update on the current situation of COVID-19

The COVID-19 issue increasingly determines our daily work, our private life and has a major impact on our social relationships. It is therefore even more important to remain united during this difficult period, to protect endangered people around us and to act with prudence and solidarity.

The European Pallet Association eV (EPAL) has been active in over 30 countries and has been confronted with the effects of COVID-19 since the beginning of December 2019, since our employees and licensees in China have been affected by the disease in various ways and some of them still are. In China, we reacted quickly and cautiously, in agreement with all the parties concerned. And we have learned to respond appropriately to the new situation, which we are currently facing in Europe.

The health of EPAL licensees, the employees of the inspection companies and our local staff is a top priority. Some of our employees are partly working in home office, events, attendance at trade shows and board meetings are canceled, postponed or held by videoconference. In collaboration with our National Committees and Inspection Companies, we re-evaluate the situation in the different countries on a daily basis and adapt our measures according to it.

We are always at your disposal, both for our EPAL licensees and for the users of EPAL load carriers, in order to guarantee the quality and safety of our EPAL products and to keep the supply chains running smoothly.
